Brian J. Kennedy, 65

Brian J. Kennedy passed away on May 13, 2025, in St. Paul, Minnesota. Brian was born on July 18, 1959. He grew up in Clarksville. He was 65-years-old.

Throughout his life, Brian maintained a deep appreciation for the outdoors and family. His favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing—activities that brought him peace and connection to nature. He was devoted to Dinah, his beloved dog. He had a great sense of humor. He also had a strong interest in family genealogy, dedicating time to tracing and preserving the stories of those who came before him

Brian was preceded in death by his parents, EM “Red” and Charlene Kennedy as well as his siblings: Paula (Joe) Miller, Alana (Larry) Becker, Mary Kennedy, and Alan Kennedy. His legacy continues through his nephews Jeff (Melissa) Miller, Michael (Laura) Miller, Ryan (Julie) Becker, and Brady (Kathy) Miller; and his niece Angie (Michael) Mowery.

There will be a celebration of life at the North shelter in Heery Woods State Park in Clarksville, Iowa on Saturday September 13 from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. May Brian’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting tribute to a life lived with quiet dedication to family and tradition.
